Το σχολείο μας
Το σημερινό Γυμνάσιο Αυλωναρίου στεγάζεται σε παραδοσιακό κτίριο που άρχισε να χτίζεται το 1961. Μέχρι την κατασκευή του σημερινού σχολείου τα μαθήματα γίνονταν σε παραδοσιακό κτίριο κοντά στην εκκλησία του Αγίου Νικολάου και σε μισθωμένες αίθουσες στην γύρω περιοχή. Το σημερινό κτίριο είναι τριώροφο, έχει εκτός των αιθουσών διδασκαλίας, αίθουσα πληροφορικής με υπολογιστές πρόσφατης τεχνολογίας με πρόσβαση στο διαδίκτυο, αίθουσα φυσικών επιστημών και μια αίθουσα διαμορφωμένη για το μάθημα της τεχνολογίας και των καλλιτεχνικών. Στην αυλή υπάρχουν γήπεδο μπάσκετ και χώρος για βόλεϊ όπως επίσης αίθουσα για ΓΡΑΣΕΠ και κλειστή αίθουσα γυμναστικής. Μετά τις σχετικές εργασίες συντήρησης και τις παρεμβάσεις στο κτίριο, το Γυμνάσιο Αυλωναρίου στεγάζεται σήμερα σε ένα σύγχρονο, άνετο και ευχάριστο για μαθητές και καθηγητές περιβάλλον.

Our school
The State Gymnasium of Avlonari was founded in the late 19th c. and has functioned under various names such as ?Hellenikon Scholeion?, ?Scholarchion? etc. Anlonari village is located on the eastern coast of Evia island and it is 133 km away from Athens. The classes were hosted in traditional buildings rented by the State in the nearby area of St. Nikolaos church. Since the early ?60s, the school has occupied the new premises built exclusively for educational purposes. After some renovation, the 95 students from the surrounding area and the 16 teachers are hosted in modern, pleasant and sufficiently large premises on the foot of the hill, at the entrance of Avlonari village. It is a three-floor building with offices, classrooms, two laboratories for natural sciences and NT, a fine arts and constructions classroom as well as a small indoor gym and open air basketball and volleyball courts. The Gymnasium of Avlonari offers general education to boys and girls aged 13-15 years and it constitutes the last grade of compulsory education. After graduating, the students can pursue their studies either in the General Lyceum for subsequent academic studies or in the Professional Lyceum for vocational education and technological studies. It is worth mentioning that the school has participated in a number of European projects and has implemented enough environmental, cultural and health programs with outstanding performances.
